‘The Power of Playing Together’: Creating a Shared Vision for the Youngest Children, Their Caregivers, and Communities.

In September 2023, Seedling Education was contracted by the Moving Minds Alliance to spearhead a project aimed at advancing Early Childhood Development (ECD) within the humanitarian sector. The project focused on fostering collaboration with ECD networks and coalitions, influencing global agendas, and building consensus on the critical role of ECD in humanitarian settings. By engaging local, regional, and global experts, as well as those with firsthand experience in conflict and refugee contexts, Seedling gathered valuable insights to shape the project’s direction. Led by a diverse project panel, including members from Joint Advocacy Group 2 (JAG2), the consultancy facilitated robust engagement with various stakeholders and complementary initiatives. The resulting “Mapifesto” represents a collective vision, co-created by refugees, ECD experts, networks, and advocates, aligning with the strategic direction of the Moving Minds Alliance.
