Our mission
We advocate for better outcomes and equity for young children affected by crises everywhere.
We are a multi-stakeholder alliance advocating for early childhood development in every crisis response, leveraging the strengths of diverse actors from the local to the global.
We advocate for better outcomes and equity for young children affected by crises everywhere.
We envisage a world in which families and communities affected by crisis can nurture the wellbeing and development of their young children and uphold their rights.
The purpose of this Research Forum is to identify research projects taking place around the world focused on young children and caregivers affected by crisis and displacement. Researchers from the Global North and South are invited to join to share findings, lessons learned, and measurement tools and approaches with each other and the broader early childhood development in emergencies (ECDiE) community.
We are especially interested in highlighting the growing body of research that is co-designed and co-created with communities and families. Research will be disseminated through a monthly Research Roundup and quarterly public webinars, each with a regional focus.
The Research Forum also supports new and emerging researchers through its Research Fellowship Program where a cohort of researchers and research-oriented practitioners will carry out studies on issues related to young children (from pre-natal to school-entry) and families in emergency contexts over the upcoming year.
